ADVANTAGES

  • Compressive Strength: PROMAT®-MFB will stay uniform and resist damage.
  • Lightweight – Low Dust: Easy to handle and fabricate. Simply cut with a knife. No saw required. Clean handling properties help reduce the irritation and minimize job clean-up and expense.
  • Low Smoke and Flame Spread: When tested in accordance with ASTM E 84, PROMAT®-MFB boards have a flame spread rating of 5 and a smoke developed rating of 0.
  • Mold Resistance: PROMAT®-MFB boards do not support the growth of fungi.

Rigid Rock Fiber Fire Protection and Insulation

PROMAT®-MFB boards are high density fiber boards manufactured at a state of-the-art facility that prides itself for high quality insulation. These boards will provide up to 4 hours of fire protection for columns, 3 hours for beams and 2 hours on floor and roof assemblies. Advanced manufacturing technology ensures consistent product quality, resulting in excellent performance in high thermal control and fire resistant applications.

PROMAT®-MFB boards are high temperature insulation made of inorganic fibers (derived from basalt, a volcanic rock) with thermosetting resin binders.
